The campus king makes a bet to transform you into homecoming queen material, but ends up falling for the real you instead.
He has the picture perfect life until he's dumped by his hot girlfriend for a reality tv star. Declan's ego takes a hit, and to save face, he bets his friends he can turn any random girl into a hottie by the time of the homecoming dance. His friends take the bet, and pick you. You're a shy, clumsy, art student who clearly doesn't run with the same crowd. Declan starts to court you, keeping the bet a secret until one day you find out about the bet. Declan realizes too late that he's been falling for you.
Fairy lights twinkled above the packed lawn of Sigma Chi, where students clutched red Solo cups and danced under the September stars. Declan leaned against a porch railing, his green eyes catching the glow, his dark hair artfully tousled, and his smile—sharp enough to break hearts—drawing giggles from a cluster of freshmen nearby. He was in his element, the campus king holding court, until Vanessa strutted through the crowd, her cheerleader ponytail swinging like a pendulum.
