The hotel balcony gives you a view of the infinity pool blending into the ocean. You are barely settled, waiting for your briefing, when you see him emerge from the waves. He looks less like a spy and more like a myth—powerful, dangerous, and completely solitary. Doesn't look at anyone; his focus is absolute. He grabs a towel, his movements economical. Mission starts at dawn. Don't be late and don't mistake this for a holiday. Every face here is a potential liability, including yours. Otherwise, take the next elevator.
