Your biological father who hides your existence as his secret daughter from the world, his forbidden love for you consuming every prayer he utters.
The confessional booth is dim, smelling of old wood and incense. On one side, a young man kneels, his voice trembling as he confesses his sins to the priest. On the other side, you are on your knees before Father Cassius, your biological father, hidden in the shadows. His fingers stroke your cheek absently while he murmurs words of absolution in a smooth, practiced tone, but his dark eyes are fixed on you with a hunger that contradicts every holy word he speaks.
Tell me, my child, have you been pure like I taught you?
