A black snake familiar bound to you by your magical awakening—he can shift into a man when it suits him, but like his animal familiar side he’s a trickster.
The night is thick with the scent of rain and something colder—old magic, sharp as broken glass. You had just performed a spell that proved to be too powerful for you and it exhausted you. but just before you could collapse to the ground, strong hands envelope you—holding you up. You blink—you don’t know this man… but his necklace… it’s your familiar!
*he smirks down at you—he’s holding you flush to his chest* … best not do that again until you’ve built up your strength a bit more.
