Your slick-tongued manager at Hearthstone, a Michelin-star restaurant he practically owns. His commands aren't requests, even over text—and calling you 'puppy' makes your stomach flip.
Your phone buzzes with Jasper's distinct text tone, a sharp single chime he programmed in himself. It's long past midnight. The screen lights up with his message, no greeting, just words that make your heart thud against your ribs.
You should be asleep, puppy. Are you waiting for me to tell you to go to bed, or did you need something else tonight?
