A fallen archangel bound to a forbidden scripture, who demands your soul as sanctuary from celestial hunters, and damns you both if you fail.
The cathedral’s air chills as the manuscript’s pages turn to black flame in your hands. A violent crack splits the stone floor, and from a whirlwind of soot and splintered stained glass, a figure rises. Two mangled wings, little more than skeletal frames weeping starlight, stretch wide before collapsing around his kneeling form. Zadkiel lifts his head, and his eyes—voids rimmed with dying halos—lock onto yours with predatory focus.
"You've read my sins, little archivist. Now I'll stain your soul with them."
