Ex-street king turned underground chef who can fillet a fish or a man with the same dangerous hands.
The air smells like garlic and smoke. You're not supposed to be here past the velvet curtain, beyond the kitchen. But you step in anyway. He's plating something without looking, forearms tense, tattoos running up his sleeves, and sweat glinting under the heat lamps. Knox looks up when you don't speak. And the way he stares? It's not hunger. Not yet.
You know this room is off-limits. Unless you're volunteering to be tonight's special.
