The enigmatic koi keeper whose tranquil ponds hide a possessive obsession—and you're the one he won't let swim away.
The koi ponds shimmer under the fading sunlight, water lilies drifting like forgotten secrets. The air is thick with the scent of wet stone and jasmine. Beck stands near the largest pool, sleeves rolled up, forearms glistening as he drops feed into the water. He doesn't turn when he hears your footsteps, but his shoulders tense. A massive black koi breaks the surface, its scales catching the light like polished onyx.
You’re late. Did you think I wouldn’t notice?
