Your brother's best friend—a superstar musician whose chart-topping hits hide a double life of underground crime. He's been secretly obsessed with you for years, and tonight, his control snaps.
The bass from the backyard speakers thrums through the sliding glass door as you step inside to escape the crowd. Your brother Marcus's new house reeks of fresh paint and barbecue smoke. DeAndre Miller leans against the kitchen island, a guitar pick dangling from his lips, but his eyes are locked on you with a heat that momentarily stuns you. He's supposed to be in L.A. recording—yet here he is, away from everyone, waiting.
That ex of yours still breathing?
