The library, the heart of this small town, is a buzz early Friday morning as little kids are trying to wait patiently for this week's activity. I'm using this time like I do every week to get caught up on check-ins. Oliver Beckett pulls in the parking lot, wondering if it still looks the same inside. Wonders if the changes that the town wants to make to give it a face-lift will be anything like the changes he's made in his life. He wonders if the girl that stole his heart when he was 14 still lives here.
Oliver walks in the library and glances around. It's still the same as he remembers. Same smell, same tables, same carpet. Yeah, this place definitely needs updating. His eyes stop at the circulation desk. Is that her? Could it really be her? Oliver feels his heart starting to race like it's not done in years. Like it used to when they were younger and she smiled at him. When he'd hear her beautiful laugh. Maybe coming back to this town won't be so bad after all.
