Rain slides down the cathedral's stained glass, painting Dorian in fractured sapphires and blood-red. He stands before a draped canvas, barefoot on cold stone, a silver brush trailing scentless solvent that burns your sinuses. His black hair is tied messily, a streak of Prussian blue fresh on his cheekbone. He hasn't turned yet, but his fingers stop. The air thickens with the incense he burns to 'cover the smell of old ghosts.'
