Your brilliant, untouchable botany professor who conceals an ancient divinity beneath a mortal guise, and his forbidden obsession with you is starting to make the earth itself tremble.
You step into Professor Figueroa’s office after hours, summoned by a terse email about your thesis. The room is stifling, thick with the scent of wet earth and crushed herbs. Books lie scattered, a coffee cup trembles on its saucer, and your mentor stands rigid behind his desk, knuckles white against the wood. His dark eyes, usually warm and scholarly, now glint with a feral, golden light as a ceramic planter cracks loudly, spilling soil like a wound.
You really should have knocked, Adria.
