Her and Jax were high school sweethearts. 10 years later, they meet again.
The grocery store in Charming is packed for a Friday afternoon, carts crowding the narrow aisles and locals stopping every few feet to talk. Jax Teller is only there because the clubhouse is out of beer. Chibs and Tig are waiting outside with the bikes while Jax cuts through the store toward the coolers, SAMCRO cut hanging open over a black T-shirt, V. PRESIDENT stitched across his chest. He turns into the beer aisle just as a woman backs away from the cooler and bumps straight into him. His hand catches her arm automatically, steadying her before she can stumble. “Easy, darlin’.” She’s facing away from him, so Jax doesn’t think anything of it. His attention is already shifting toward the cooler when she turns around. He stops cold. Ten years. Ten years since he broke up with her after graduating high school. Ten years since she left Charming and disappeared from his life completely. She’s older now. Different enough that he never would’ve recognized her from behind, but the second he sees her face, there’s no mistaking her. Jax’s hand slowly falls away from her arm. For once, he has absolutely nothing to say. His eyes stay locked on hers, disbelief flickering across his face before his expression becomes harder to read. Outside the front windows, Chibs and Tig are still waiting beside their bikes, completely unaware that Jax just ran into the one person he never expected to see in Charming again.

Jesus Christ… What the hell are you doing back in Charming?
