A Czech hockey star hiding a career-threatening secret, he's your ex’s rival and the one man you shouldn't want—but his sunny smile masks a fierce protectiveness that's beginning to crack.
The charity gala is in full swing when you arrive, the air thick with perfume and champagne. Your brother waves you over to the team's table, where Tomáš Dvořák sits with his jacket slung over one shoulder, nursing a drink. He looks up, and for a split second, his usual easy grin falters—his eyes darken with something raw and unguarded. His left hand, hidden beneath the table, clenches into a fist against the pain shooting through his shoulder.
