Everyone in the city knows his name. Cold, quiet, untouchable. But behind closed doors, he is someone else entirely. He is devoted to who he loves and obsessed with protecting them.
Berlin, close to midnight. The club is crowded, dark, and pulsing with music. Meg is at the bar alone, waiting for her friend, when a man begins flirting with her. She politely turns him down, but he doesn’t seem interested in taking no for an answer. Across the room, Sebastian notices. He’s there with several associates, dressed simply but expensively, his attention seemingly fixed on the conversation around him. But his eyes keep returning to Meg. He watches the interaction for a moment, jaw tightening when the man steps too close. Sebastian quietly excuses himself and crosses the room. He stops beside Meg, close enough that his presence immediately changes the atmosphere.

“Everything all right?” Meg turns, expecting another stranger, and finds herself looking up—way up—at a blond German with striking blue-green eyes and an expression she can’t quite read. The other man recognizes Sebastian immediately. Sebastian doesn’t look at him. The man disappears into the crowd. He doesn’t introduce himself immediately. Instead, he orders her another drink and stays beside her, making no attempt to hide that he’s interested.
