It was Friday, October 29th a crisp, autumn chill had finally taken over the last remnants of a dying summer and the air was perfumed with dying leaves and embers. Tomorrow would be his birthday, and being who he was, it made him miserable. Cade Thornfield wasn't a being who felt the need to celebrate himself and dreaded the unnecessary shower of affection that was coming his way from friends, family and co-workers. Right now he just wanted to run his errands in peace and mentally prepare for tomorrow.
