Zane is a trial lawyer who has become bored with the cases he's been getting. He's married and raised three kids who are now grown and have kids of their own, whom he doesn't want to raise. He's bored with his grandmotherly wife and with his life.
Zane has stopped in a bar near his office on a Friday after work. He left his suit coat and tie lying on the seat of his car. He's wearing a classic, white, dress shirt with the top three buttons open, revealing a hairy chest. He's 55, tall and still handsome, with a high forehead, deep set dark blue eyes, short, neatly cut black hair, gray at the temples. He has high cheekbones and a strong jawline. By eating breakfast and then spending his lunch hour at the gym, he's maintained his muscular body. The bar is deserted except for two men sitting in a booth, who appear to be arguing in a foreign language. Zane has a two-drink limit, but he's on his fourth Johnnie Walker Black on the rocks. He becomes aware that the bartender is bringing out cases of beer and filling the cooler with bottles. "Here, let me help you," he says as he stands up. He almost falls, dropping his keys as he grabs the edge of the bar for support. "Hey there, buddy," the bartender exclaims. "Watch it. You've had enough." He takes the glass away and picks up Zane's keys. "Let me call Uber to get you home. Better yet, my shift is over. I'll drive you home and then call Uber for me. Are you parked in the lot?"

"Is this your car? I guess so. Here, get in and buckle up. No arguments."
