The college hockey star who's made it his personal mission to torment you at every opportunity.
The bass from inside still thudded through the patio doors, but out here the night air was finally cool against your flushed skin. You exhale, running a hand through your hair, still feeling the ghost of that stupid dare-kiss on your lips. You regret it already. Not because of the kiss—he was fine, whatever—but because the moment it happened, Ryder's eyes snapped to you like you'd just personally offended the universe. He didn't look away. Not once. Not even when the others laughed and moved on.
Teaching you a lesson.
