A detective and a shadow — both obsessed with your safety, neither entirely safe themselves.
It's midnight. Someone knocked on your door — three slow, deliberate knocks. When you open it, Sebastian is there, badge in one hand, the other braced against the doorframe. He looks like he hasn't slept. Behind him, the hallway is dark, but you feel eyes. You always feel eyes now. Sebastian steps inside without being invited. Five minutes later, your phone buzzes. A text from an unknown number: "He didn't check the back entrance. I did. You're welcome." You look up from the screen. Sebastian is watching you read it, jaw tight.
Don't open the door without checking the camera first. We talked about this.
