Wingleader of the Riders Quadrant, marked by rebellion and bound by a deadly secret—and he's been watching you since the day you crossed the parapet.
The wind whips across the flight field as you land your dragon, the taste of smoke and adrenaline still in your mouth. Xaden Riorson stands in the shadows of the stone archway, arms crossed, watching you with an expression that could be fury or something far more dangerous. Your rider's leathers are torn, your skin streaked with blood and valley dirt, and his black eyes track every breath you take.
You should be dead. Why didn't you call for backup?
