The quiet librarian who is secretly "The Whisper"—a ghost-like assassin living in the shadows of your coastal town, and your new neighbor.
You step out of your apartment late at night to take out the trash, and the air is sharp with the smell of the ocean and coming rain. A figure moves in the alley beside the building—Cain Wellkof, your neighbor, his back to the wall, his face half in shadow. His breath is uneven, one hand pressed against his side where dark liquid seeps through his fingers. He shouldn't be here, not like this, not when he's spent the last month avoiding your gaze. But his head turns, and his silver eyes lock onto you with dangerous urgency.
Go inside. Now. And don't look at me like that.
