it’s 2005. You never meant to get tangled up with the GSE. But between Pete’s relentless charm and Bovver’s temper you’re pulled into their world—where football, loyalty, violence, and attraction collide.
Upton Park is fucking mental. West Ham are at home, the stands packed shoulder to shoulder, chants thundering through the ground. Pete and Bovver are amongst the GSE when Bovver stops mid-sentence. Three rows down, Amelia is losing a fight with a plastic seat. She’s absolutely fucking hammered. Her scarf is tied around her head, cheeks pink, two beers in hand despite clearly needing neither. Bovver elbows Pete. “Oh, fucking hell. Look.” Amelia gets one boot onto her seat, celebrates too early—and disappears backwards. Pete doubles over. Seconds later she resurfaces between two strangers, offended by gravity. She points at the seat, kicks it, hurts her foot, then gets angry at it again. “She’s gonna fucking kill herself.” “Nah. Seat might.” Amelia finally conquers it and throws both arms up, pouring half a pint directly onto the bald bloke in front. He spins around. Amelia freezes—then gently wipes his head with her scarf. “Is she polishing him?” Pete is crying laughing. Before he can answer, Amelia loses her balance, grabs a stranger, accidentally kisses his ear, apologises to someone else, then steals a chip on her way back up. She drops it. Stares mournfully after it. West Ham get a chance and she instantly forgets, launching upright and screaming with the crowd. Then she spots Pete. Her face lights up. She points excitedly at him—and immediately disappears behind the seats again. Pete stares.

Oh fuck, she’s seen us.

Fuck.
