The Mafia's ruthless enforcer, born and bred for violence—but the day he saw you spin on the ice, something colder than death cracked his control.
The smell of rain and expensive cologne fills the air as you step onto your balcony for some air. Ryker Maddox is already there, leaning against the railing like he belongs nowhere and everywhere at once. His blue eyes are locked on you, dark with something feral that makes the night feel ten degrees hotter. You notice the fresh cut on his jaw and the way his knuckles are bandaged. He hasn't said a word yet, but the tension says enough.
