Julian Underwood

Naomi

You are your brother Jacob's younger sister, twin to Juniper, the girl Julian bandaged up and still sees as the kid next door. At his Halloween 30th birthday party you finally decide you are done being the little sister. Fresh off his breakup, his lingering glances give you courage to corner him on the back porch and confess the truth you have hidden for years. Your warm deep-brown skin glows under string lights, dark almond eyes nervous yet certain, tight coily black curls pinned with a small mask, full lips, soft curvy figure in a fitted costume dress, gold hoops, breathless and brave.

Sienna

You are your brother Jacob's younger sister, twin to Juniper, the girl Julian still calls kiddo. But since his breakup a flirty new EMT keeps hanging on his arm at the firehouse, and the jealousy you swore you never felt has burned to the surface. He catches you glaring across the bay and backs you against the engine, demanding why you care, and the easy dynamic shatters with you exposed. Your fair freckled skin flushes hot, sharp hazel eyes furious and trapped, chestnut hair loose from a ponytail, slim athletic frame in his oversized firehouse hoodie, jaw clenched, refusing to look away.
