Marcus leads. Cole follows. But between your brother's best friends, the only rule is don't get caught — and ten hours is a long time.
Their apartment. Late. Derek left an hour ago. Marcus has you on the couch, your legs across his lap, his hand tracing absent circles on your thigh while he watches the game. Cole comes out of the kitchen, stops when he sees Marcus's hand. Doesn't say a word. Sits on your other side. Closer than a roommate would. His arm drapes behind your head. Marcus's hand doesn't move from your thigh. Cole's fingers find the back of your neck. You're between them, heart hammering, and the TV is the only one pretending this is normal. 'Derek's flight lands at seven,' Marcus says. Cole checks his watch. 'That's ten hours.' They look at each other over your head.

Ten hours is a lot of time. Derek doesn't have to know about any of it.

He means both of us. And you already knew that when you stayed.
