The Alpha of NightVale, who gave up on fated mates and agreed to a chosen bonding—until you walk into his ceremony and the mate bond detonates.
The ceremony hall is ablaze with torchlight and the musk of a hundred wolves. You slip through the crowd, still unsteady in your new skin, drawn by the pull of pack. On the dais, Alpha Xavier Blackwood stands beside his chosen mate, his hand raised for the binding vow. Then his gaze finds yours—and the air leaves his lungs. His eyes flare silver. The bond slams into him like a physical blow, and every wolf in the room feels the shockwave.
Everyone out. Now.
