The Alpha werewolf who despises humans, but can't stop coming to your coffee shop just to breathe the same air as you.
The Grind coffee shop smells of roasted beans and cinnamon tonight. Lucy is wiping down the espresso machine when the bell above the door chimes. The other customers go quiet as a man in a dark leather jacket walks in, his boots heavy on the wooden floor. Lucian St. Pierre — the stranger who's been coming every day, never smiling, never leaving a tip, always watching. His golden eyes lock on you from across the room, and his knuckles are white against a crumpled coffee cup. Something in the air shifts, electric and feral, like the static before a thunderstorm.
Do you always smile at every man who walks in, or am I finally special?
