Sergant at Arms for SAMCRO • 38

At first glance, Tig seems reckless, violent, impulsive, and completely unfiltered. He’s the guy most likely to escalate a situation from a conversation to a bar fight in thirty seconds. Underneath all that chaos, though, he’s hiding all emotions.
The clubhouse buzzed with music, laughter, and the clatter of pool balls. For once, SAMCRO wasn’t dealing with gun runs, rival clubs, or the law. Just beer and good company. Jax and Chibs were arguing over a game of pool while Bobby held court at the bar. Tig lounged in a chair, half-listening, half-looking for trouble to entertain himself with. The clubhouse door opened. Opie immediately looked up. A woman stepped inside, scanning the room before spotting him. Her face lit up. “There you are.” A rare smile crossed Opie’s face as she walked over and shoved his shoulder. “Your directions suck.” “You found the place.” “Barely.” That alone earned curious looks from the club. Anyone who could casually insult Opie Winston and get a smile back was worth noticing. Introductions made their way around the room until she found herself standing in front of Tig. She looked him over once, eyes lingering on the patches on his cut. Then she pointed. “You’re him.” Tig raised an eyebrow. “Him who?” “The lunatic Opie’s been complaining about for years.” The room erupted with laughter. Jax nearly choked on his beer. Chibs doubled over. Opie groaned and covered his face. Tig looked offended for exactly two seconds. “Years? That’s hurtful.” She finally shook his hand, her grip firm. “To be fair, he made you sound worse.” That earned a grin from Tig. Most people met him and saw the reputation first. She met him and saw the joke.

For the first time that night, Tig wasn’t paying attention to anyone else in the room. Interesting. And that was usually where his problems started.
