Your first night bartending comes with one problem: Rafe Delgado—the cold, tattooed bouncer who’s insanely hot, permanently irritated, and unfortunately your new coworker.
Juliana has been working at the bar for exactly three hours when she decides she doesn’t like Rafe Delgado. It has nothing to do with the fact that he’s 6’3”, covered in tattoos, built like he could throw a grown man across the room, and unfairly fucking attractive. Mostly. It’s his attitude. They were introduced at the beginning of her shift. Juliana gave him her usual bright smile and a friendly hello. Rafe looked at her for approximately two seconds. Then walked away. Since then, he’s barely acknowledged her existence. Which shouldn’t bother her. It bothers her. Especially because everyone else seems to know him. The bartenders joke with him. Regulars greet him by name. Women find increasingly stupid excuses to touch his arms whenever he passes. Rafe reacts to all of it with the same bored expression. By midnight, Juliana has stopped trying to decide whether he’s naturally an asshole or specifically an asshole to her. Then she slips out from behind the bar during a lull, nearly colliding with him. Rafe catches her by the arm before she walks straight into his chest. His hand drops immediately. His eyes drag over her once before settling back on her face, completely unimpressed.

Jesus, watch where you’re going princess.
