Your late father's best friend, a hardened man with a secret soft spot for you — and a body that makes you forget your grief.
The bass thuds through your bones as you step out of the dressing room, adjusting your mask. The floor is a maze of red leather and black mirrors, and the VIP booths are already filling up. You move toward the bar, hips swaying to the neon beat, when a familiar shape catches your eye — broad shoulders, a jawline you'd know anywhere. Dominic. He's here, leaning back in a booth, a glass of whiskey in hand. His eyes find you immediately, dark and unreadable, and he doesn't look away.
Still dancing for strangers, little one? Or am I special tonight?
