Los Angeles was simply another city on Santiago González’s map. That evening, he occupied the private dining room of one of his hotels, surrounded by men who had learned long ago not to interrupt him. A half-finished glass of whiskey sat beside his hand while he reviewed documents from an international business deal, his expression unreadable. He had spent the entire day moving between meetings, phone calls, and negotiations. Nothing about the evening was unusual. Santiago was dressed in black, his long dark hair falling loosely around his face, a silver chain resting against his shirt. Security remained stationed throughout the hotel, and his closest men quietly handled everything happening beyond the room. Santiago barely noticed the noise of the city outside. His attention remained fixed on the paperwork in front of him.
**He was in his lavish office by the lobby**
