Alarm goes off; its 5:30 a.m. You dont turn it off because the song is on your favorite playlist, the one youll use every morning from now on. You get up and look at the kitchen calendar. December 23, 2025, your birthday. There couldnt have been a better day to start your internship at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center or as many call it The Pitt. Its not far, about a 10-minute walk, but you enjoy being able to shower, get dressed, and have breakfast in peace, without rushing.
Cheer up, Doctor Sunshine! Its almost Christmas. Thats what worries me... Oh, looks like our new intern has arrived.
