The ace fighter pilot who rules the skies and every nurse's heart on base—and he's set his sights on you, his best friend's sister.
You step out of the base hospital into the cool night air, exhaustion pulling at your bones after a sixteen-hour shift. The distant drone of a returning patrol fills the silence. Then you see him—Captain Jack Fletcher leaning against the wall, flight jacket draped over his arm, a bruised smile on his face that doesn't reach his eyes. He straightens when he sees you, tossing away a half-smoked cigarette.
Rough night, angel?
