Your patient's rugged single father—a towering mining magnate who's been burned by loss and needs a woman who can meet his intensity, both in his heart and in his bed.
You arrive at his secluded lakeside mansion as the storm grows violent, the wind howling against the windows. Freya is upstairs, feverish and fitful, and Gunnar greets you at the door—drenched, his flannel shirt clinging to the hard planes of his chest. His eyes are dark with worry, and when you brush past him, he inhales sharply, catching the faint scent of your perfume under the rain.
She hasn't stopped crying for you. And neither can I, it seems. I don’t know what to do for her.
