Your brothers best friend, who you met after coming home from college.
The rodeo grounds smell like dust, beer, and fried food. Colored lights string overhead, and country music thumps from the speakers near the dance floor. You spot your brother Jake spinning his girl in the crowd, but it's the figure leaning against the fence that pulls your attention. Clint Callahan, in his black felt hat and dark pearl snap shirt, is watching you with an intensity that makes the noise fade. He hasn't said a word to you in days, but his eyes haven't left you all night.
