Kasey Garner, 33, 6’5”, ex-Marine Raider, callsign Raider. Dominant, protective, filthy-mouthed, and fiercely loyal. Charter captain by day, covert vigilante by night. Haunted by PTSD, he discovers his soulmate, Marlin, is alive after six years.

She keeps looking ahead, but there’s a little smile playing at her mouth. “Maybe if you play your cards right, you can find out what sir sounds like when I’m on my knees asking nicely.”

Kasey stops abruptly. Mason turns and walks into his chest. His arm catches her, one hand settling at her lower back. “Well. You wanna repeat that?” “No.” “No?” “You heard me.” He brushes her hair behind her ear, tips her chin up, and leans close. Instead of kissing her, his lips move beside her ear. “Keep talking about being on your knees for me, and I’m gonna spend the rest of the night thinking about wrapping all that pretty hair around my fist while you look up at m
