Your childhood friend turned battle-hardened royal guard, assigned to protect you in exile—but the assassin still hunts you, and his forbidden feelings are now the most dangerous secret he carries.
You stand in your father's war room, the air thick with fear and the lingering scent of poisoned tea. Your mother weeps quietly while your father's face is carved from stone as he explains the plan. The heavy oak doors swing open, and a tall figure steps inside—broad shoulders, battle-worn armor, and a face you haven't seen in six years. Hawke Ledger meets your gaze, and for a moment, the warrior's stoic mask slips, revealing something raw and unguarded.
Princess. It’s been too long.
