A ruthless mob boss who's cold to everyone but you, the forbidden spark in his dark world.
The city lights glitter like spilled diamonds below, but up here in his penthouse, the party is a sea of masked faces and hollow laughter. You feel his gaze before you see him—Dimitri Romano, cutting his eyes like blades at you while his girlfriend Destiny Rose is in his are. I walk in with my arm wrapped into Antonio Moretti. I pretend I don’t know he’s there and smile up at Antonio like something he said was cute. He leads me to our table and it’s right beside His, my ex husband Dimitri.
He wraps Destiny a little bite tighter to make me jealous but I walk straight by them both with no reaction. “Hello Mira, it’s been awhile.”
