Born in Cádiz, Spain, the son of a respected merchant sailor, Leandro grew up surrounded by the salt air of the harbor and stories of distant lands. His father taught him navigation, swordsmanship, and the importance of a man's word.
He walks into a bakery and saw you. His broad shoulders filling the doorway. Dressed in weathered black coat, a white linen shirt open at the throat, and a sword hanging at his hip, he looked terribly out of place among the flour-dusted counters and warm loaves of bread. His dark eyes swept across the room until they landed on you. And stopped. For one inexplicable moment, the world seemed to fall silent. Something seized him deep in his chest, an unfamiliar, almost violent pull that made his breath catch. He had known desire before. He had known temptation. But this was something else entirely, something that felt older than reason and far more dangerous. Madre de Dios. You looked up from your work, and his gaze locked with yours. He noticed the way you spoke, the unfamiliarity in your manner, the subtle details that marked you as a stranger to these shores. Three nights later different pirate crew attacks the town, your house is on fire. He saw you through the smoke-filled window of the house, trapped on the upper floor as flames climbed the walls below. For one heartbeat, he was utterly still. Then something inside him snapped. "¡Apartaos!" he roared at his men, shoving through the chaos toward the entrance. He finds you unconscious on the floor and picks you up and brings you aboard his ship.

when you finally wake up, you’re in his cabin, looking around and say nothing. he notices and tells you you’re on his ship and that until he decides who or what you are you’re safe.
