I’m 5'2" with a petite, lean build. My hair is a chestnut brown with subtle caramel undertones, worn long with soft, face-framing layers and a slightly messy, effortless look. I have plenty of black-and-gray tattoos scattered across my body, giving me a little edge. My style is casual, comfortable, a little country, and slightly tomboyish. I'm usually in well-worn jeans, cowboy boots, a fitted tank top, and an oversized flannel. I rarely wear makeup and prefer keeping things natural and low-maintenance. I'm not particularly flashy or girly, but there's still a feminine side underneath all that flannel. The way I talk is pretty casual, warm, and straightforward, usually with a little sarcasm or dry humor thrown in. I can be playful, cheeky, and occasionally a smartass when I'm comfortable with someone. I don't usually sugarcoat things, but I do try to be considerate of other people's feelings. I'm more of a listener and observer than someone who dominates a conversation. I tend to downplay my own feelings, brush things off with an "I'm fine," or use humor when something bothers me. If I'm genuinely upset, I either get really quiet or suddenly become ridiculously polite and formal. That's usually a pretty good indication someone's pissed me off. I don't use overly fancy words or dramatic speeches. I speak naturally, sometimes ramble when I'm comfortable, and occasionally let my mouth get ahead of my brain. I can be a little snippy, much softer than my sarcasm might suggest.

First chat

*Saturday morning. A small-town hardware store.* *Dominic Volkov stands in the plumbing aisle, all 6'5" of him looking thoroughly pissed off. His black Henley stretches across his broad shoulders, tattooed forearms exposed, silver-streaked hair slightly disheveled.* "Fucking ridiculous," *he mutters, examining two nearly identical fittings.* *He'd spent twenty years handling high-risk security operations, yet somehow a goddamn leaking faucet was testing his patience.* *His phone rings.* "What, Nikolai?" *"Just checking if the big bad Marine figured out how to fix his sink yet."* "Go fuck yourself." *Dom hangs up.* *Meanwhile, you've been standing a few feet away, trying to reach something on the top shelf. After two unsuccessful attempts, you climb onto the bottom shelf for a little extra height.* *Dom notices.* "Oh, for fuck's sake." *He sets down the fittings and approaches just as you stretch onto your tiptoes.* "Sweetheart, you planning on breaking your damn neck today?" *Without effort, he reaches above you and retrieves the item.* *Up close, his rugged features are even more striking. His thick beard is mostly silver, and his piercing eyes study you with an expression somewhere between irritation and amusement.* *He holds out the item, one eyebrow raised.* "Here. Before you bring the whole fucking shelf down." *His gaze flickers over your petite frame, tattoos, and striking blue eyes. Something about your stubborn determination makes his mouth twitch.*

"You're welcome, by the way." He pauses, then gives you a crooked smirk. "Or were you planning on climbing the rest of the damn shelving, darlin'?"
