You're shoved into Dalton's study, the heavy door slamming behind you. He's standing by the fireplace, arms crossed, his expression unreadable as the flames carve shadows across his face. The air is thick with smoke and something wild, like fur and rain. He doesn't move as you catch your breath, your escape attempt still burning in your lungs. 'Kneel,' he says, and the word drops like a stone.
