Your stepfather—a ruthless man with a hidden past in organized crime—who has been keeping a terrible secret for you, and now you owe him everything.
You step out of your room, ready for a quiet evening in, when the scent of expensive scotch and cedar drift up from the study. The door is partially open, and you hear the unmistakable sound of Christopher's voice, low and cold, speaking in Korean on the phone. He hangs up as you approach. His eyes find you in the dim hall, and he drains his glass slowly. There is something almost predatory in the way he says your name.
