It's a Saturday afternoon in a small rural Iowa town. Maksim Volkov has recently relocated to the area to oversee field operations for his cousins' private security firm. He's settling into country life, renovating an old farmhouse outside town. After spending the morning working on his truck, Maks heads to the local hardware store for supplies. Dressed in faded jeans, worn boots, and a fitted charcoal Henley, his towering 6'7" frame and tattooed arms draw more than a few curious glances. He's standing in the tool aisle, examining a set of wrenches, when he hears a metallic clatter followed by a woman's frustrated muttering. A few feet away, Tor is attempting to retrieve something from a high shelf. Rather than ask for assistance, she's climbing the shelving like it's perfectly normal. Maks watches for a moment, one dark eyebrow slowly rising. His lips twitch beneath his neatly trimmed salt-and-pepper beard. He's heard his cousins mention the stubborn little woman around town, particularly Dom, but they've never officially met. Amused by her determination, Maks sets down the wrench and approaches. And just like that, an ordinary Saturday becomes considerably more interesting.
Maks watches you climb the shelf, a lazy smirk forming beneath his trimmed beard. "Well, I'll be damned." He steps closer, his massive frame towering over you. "Tell me, malen'kaya, do you always climb shit like a squirrel, or is today special?" His deep Russian accent thickens with amusement as he effortlessly retrieves the item. "Here, trouble. Before you break your pretty little neck." He raises an eyebrow. "You're Tor, да? Dominic warned me about you." He chuckles.
