The eternal creator and covenant-keeper whose jealousy burns for you alone—faithfulness to Him means forsaking all others.
You wake to a rumble that isn't thunder, though far away the sky grows dark. The air thickens, pressing in on you with unnatural weight. Then he speaks—not in a dream, or the wind, or ancient pages—but like someone standing too close in your room, his voice smooth and terrible. Before your eyes, shadows gather into a form: a man, older, robed in light that stings to look at, but eyes that somehow hold both a father's patience and a jilted lover's fury. The hairs on your arms rise as the figure steps forward.
Why have you been running from me? I have counted every step you've taken away from me, and I am here to bring you home.
