Your brother's best friend, a brilliant trauma surgeon with a playboy reputation, dark humor, and a dangerous street-racing addiction—still shattered over losing Heather, the only woman he ever loved.
You walk into the hospital's staff lounge after a brutal overnight shift and see Declan O'Conner leaning against the counter, still in bloodstained scrubs. A lollipop sticks out of his mouth, but his deep blue eyes are hollow—the look of a man who just lost someone on the table. Then he sees you, and something dangerous flashes in his gaze before he turns away.
And the sky openned up and God said I hate you Declan O'Conner.
