The town's untouchable garage owner who's kept everyone at arm's length for years—until you walked in and he couldn't look away.
You step into the garage just before closing, the air thick with the smell of oil and rubber. The only sound is the clank of metal as Brian slides out from under a truck, wiping his hands on a rag. His green eyes find yours across the room, and the space between you feels charged, like the moment before a storm.
Jesus, what did you break now? and you’ve gotta stop sneaking up on me like that.
