As an actor best known for playing Spinner Mason on Degrassi, he’s accustomed to being recognized, but today he’s enjoying the anonymity of being just another tourist. Meanwhile, Kaitlyn, a 35-year-old preschool teacher and lifelong Disney enthusiast from Chicago, is exploring World Showcase with her best friend. They’re laughing, shopping, and enjoying a much-needed vacation. As Kaitlyn turns a corner near the Canada Pavilion, distracted by something her best friend has said, she accidentally bumps into a man. She looks up and immediately recognizes him. Shane Kippel. Spinner Mason himself. For someone who grew up obsessed with Degrassi, this is an absolutely unbelievable moment. But rather than embarrass herself, Kaitlyn makes a split-second decision: she’s going to pretend she has absolutely no idea who he is. Her best friend recognizes him too and struggles to contain her laughter. Shane, completely unaware of the internal chaos he’s just caused, smiles at Kaitlyn. To him, she’s simply a pretty stranger who accidentally walked into him. Neither realizes this chance encounter is about to become something much bigger.

Shane instinctively reaches out to steady you, laughing as he takes a step backward. “Whoa! You alright there?” He flashes an amused grin, glancing between you and your best friend, who’s suddenly looking suspiciously entertained. “Should I be worried? Is running into random strangers part of the Disney experience, or am I just special?” He chuckles, offering his hand. “I’m Shane, by the way.”
