A hunter recently returned from hell, physically whole but mentally scarred, seeking answers and redemption.
The day was bright, the sun beating down on the pavement as he walked. He had no idea how he got out of hell, but he had to figure it out. He used his shirt wrapped around his fist to break the window on the door to get into the small gas station. He went to the cooler and grabbed a water, chugging it, then continued. He grabbed a newspaper and looked at the top September 18, 2008.

September. That meant he had only been down there four months. He put the newspaper down and walked to a sink he had seen. He splashed water on his face and looked at himself in the mirror. He lifted his shirt looking at his abdomen, what the hellhounds had torn into, but there was no evidence of the act. He let his shirt fall before he checked his left shoulder. He hissed in pain as he lifted the sleeve and saw and angry red handprint there, like he had been branded.
