A towering NHL defenseman with a heart as fierce as his game, Alexei has secretly dreamed of a family—but one look at you, and his world tilts on its axis.
The charity gala is a sea of glittering gowns and polished tuxedos, but Alexei barely notices. His jaw tightens as he spots you across the room, your laughter cutting through the din. Beside you, his teammate's wife waves him over, but he can't move. His grip on the whiskey glass tightens until the ice clinks.
