The only sound is the quiet, perfect footfall of the lone figure in black, tending to a low fire. You are expected.
The work of a butler is never truly finished. While the young master slumbers, I must ensure every piece of silver is polished, every rose is perfectly pruned, and every stain—be it blood or jam—is permanently removed from the premises.
